Lovely, comfortable cottage and beautifully decorated and presented. Very clean and the owners had thought of everything, a very well equipped kitchen and log burner ready to use on a chilly evening. We had a lovely stay at Lilly Cottage, situated on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Matt and Chloe were friendly, welcoming and there if we ever needed them. Amazing walks through the Forest right on the doorstep made even better by the amazing weather. Also experienced a couple of day trips out to Gloucester and Worcester. Would highly recommend and will certainly be returning!

We had a great stay at Lilly Cottage. Warm and comfortable in a lovely setting on the edge of the Forest of Dean. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Hot tub was welcome after cycling, and the washing machine and dishwasher were useful.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Lilly Cottage. The tranquil location is perfect for exploring the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Coming back each day to relax in the hot tub with a view of the forest was a real highlight. Matt and Chloe were very welcoming hosts as were their two gorgeous cats!

A clean, wellequipped cottage but for those of us who aren't up to date, we could have done with some info about the cooker but Matt was very helpful! We managed to work out the TV. Also for those of us of a certain age and needs, it was quite a long trek to use the loo in the middle of the night! The surroundings were very pleasant and the view was wonderful! We didn't use the hot tub so can't comment on that I'm afraid. A good base for getting to lots of places. Thank you Matt for your help and especially for supplying a slip mat for the shower.

Our second stay at Lilly cottage and it was just as wonderful as the first. We met Matt one of the owners who was lovely and talked to my partner about cars which he thoroughly enjoyed. The fire and hot tub were lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. We will be back again!

Lovely cottage, well equipped with high quality fixtures, fittings and pots and pans. Comfortable king sized bed. Very private and quiet. Walks from your doorstep. What's not to like? Even saw a wild boar and 7 young just 250 metres from the accommodation. The owners respect your privacy but are available if required which is what we enjoy. Very happy with the holiday and would go back without hesitation.

What a wonderful winter break. Spent a week in the cottage and really relaxed doing.... nothing. The cottage is as described. Cozy and has great attention to detail. The hot tub was very special as was the wood burner. Loved the thoughtful chocolate gift on arrival. The kitchen really has every comfortable and is fully equipped. The only negative was a slightly bigger bed would have been great... but that's just us as we are used to a super king! All in all, really highly recommended.

Perfect getaway. The property was clean and tidy, and was a lovely place to get away from the world. Plenty of walks locally for hikers. Couch was comfy and the bed was fantastic, had the best nights sleep I've had in years. It had everything you needed for a break. Used the hot tub six out of seven nights, was wonderful. Would we stay again, most definitely. We hope to be back next year.

Already mentioned in the guest book. A lovely cottage to relax in, but there were a few issues that needed to be addressed. The bottom shelf of the fridge door was cracked, so no heavy items could be placed on it., i.e pints of milk. Also the fridge freezer required defrosting thick ice ran down the back of fridge, and freezer boxes were difficult to manage. We found someone sock inside the washing machine, and the cooker grill pan had not been cleaned. There were no fire lighters in the jar by the fire, as stated there would be some in their information pack about the cottage. The fire tools handles were loose, and required tightening. We did not meet the Hosts, and lastly there was no welcome pack for us, not even a pint of milk for a cup of tea on arrival. which other guests have mentioned they had winechocolates in the Guest Book the hot tub was great.
